FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Jet Propulsion Laboratory -- NASA's chief ì
ì
center for the exploration of the solar system by unmanned ì
ì
spacecraft -- is planning to open its entire facility to the ì
ì
public Sunday, June 1st, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Exhibits, demonstrations, and multimedia ì
ì
presentations will cover JPL's flights to the planets, space ì
ì
research, solar energy development and space technology uses.
Because Laboratory personnel will be involved in ì
ì
the coming months on the approach and flyby of Saturn ì
ì
(November 12th) by NASA's Voyager 1, the regular end-of-the-ì
ì
month open houses have been cancelled for the rest of this ì
ì
year.
